The Etowah River User's Guide, a joint book project of Georgia River Network and CRBI, will be released May 1 by the University of Georgia Press. This 184-page on-river guide with waterproof pages features more than 150 color photos and a wealth of information about the Etowah. 
Some 60 acres of Oostanaula River floodplain and wetlands that could become Rome's Central Park are slated for conversion into a regional shopping center.

Register to Volunteer at an upcoming clean up event!
During recent years, CRBI has participated in or organized stream clean ups that involve more than 400 volunteers and remove more than 30,000 pounds of trash from our rivers annually.
These clean ups include
Renew Our Rivers: a clean up on the Coosa River organized by Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful each spring.
Silver Creek Clean Sweep: a late summer event targeting Rome's Silver Creek organized by CRBI
Rivers Alive: Rome's major fall river clean up organized by CRBI and the City of Rome
Additionally, CRBI assists civic, church and school groups in organizing smaller clean ups at various locations throughout the basin.
