A historic stretch of river, along the way paddlers will see at least five Native American fish weirs, provided suitable water levels. These V-shaped dams were constructed by the area's original inhabitants 500 to 1000 years ago.

A pre-Father’s Day paddle, but mothers and daughters are welcome too for this 10-mile paddle that begins in the shadows of Euharlee’s historic covered bridge and ends at US 411. This is the first installment in the Etowah Adventurer series. Combine this trip with paddles on Aug. 9, Sept. 6 and Nov. 8, and you'll cover all 40+ miles of the Etowah from Allatoona Dam to Rome.

Please pre-register for the trip by calling Joe Cook at 706-232-2724 or via e-mail at jcook@coosa.org. Canoe rentals available through Adventure Rome 'N Around and CRBI with discounts available to CRBI members.

The trip is free to CRBI members. Regular annual membership dues are $35 and you can join online.
