Communities across North Georgia are working together to create the Etowah River Water Trail. Here's your chance to help make the dream of a 163-mile-long boating trail a reality by joining us for the second annual Etowah River Water Trail Rodeo!

When: Sunday, Sept. 25, 1-8:00 p.m.

Where: Dawson County's River Park and Rock Creek Park

Who: YOU, and several dozen of your best paddling friends!

Why: To raise money to build the Etowah River Water Trail

How: Use the form below the map to register and purchase your tickets to the event online (Suggested Donation: $75 per person or $130 per couple).

The event begins with an 9-mile paddle on the Etowah River through the beautiful Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area. Shuttle service will be provided for you and your boat by event sponsors CRBI and Appalachian Outfitters.

After the paddle trip, we'll gather at Rock Creek Park for barbecue dinner, silent auction and kayak raffle courtesy of The Outside World.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help local communities develop new boat launch sites along the river, install signs and other information at public access points and promote the use of North Georgia's "best family paddling river."

Registration fees include complimentary canoe/kayak rentals, shuttle service, barbecue dinner, drinks and a chance to win a new kayak from The Outside World.
