Save Rome's Central Park
Some 60 acres of Oostanaula River floodplain and wetlands that could become Rome's Central Park are slated for conversion into a regional shopping center.Click here to learn more.
Now in it's second year, Rome's Big Float is even bigger and better than ever! Join us for a 6-mile float trip on the Etowah River from Dixon Landing to Heritage Park in downtown Rome for canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, tubes, rafts and anything else that floats your boat (so long as it actually floats).
SCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER!
Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories including best decorated vessel, best costume, best homemade raft, largest flotilla and more.
CRBI invites civic, church and school groups as well as businesses to create their own rafts or flotillas of tubes and enjoy the day on the beautiful Etowah. Our goal is to fill the river with vessels such that a squirrel could bound from one side of the river to the other without getting its feet wet.
Following the float, River Dog Outpost will host a rocking after party at their beer garden overlooking the Etowah River in downtown Rome.
