Fish Fry & Catfish Kissin' Contest

What do you get when you put together 50 volunteers, 1600 filets of catfish, 100 pounds of breading and hushpuppy mix, 40 pounds of grits and a mess of cole slaw? You get a CRBI Fish Fry! In this annual rite of fall, CRBI volunteers serve up the best fish fry in North Georgia. And, its accompanied by a oh-so-funny (and slimy) catfish kissin' contest in which local celebrities raise money for CRBI for the right to kiss a Coosa River catfish (no catfish are harmed in the kissin' contest...we cannot say the same for the fry, or for the kissers themselves). Green Gala

Green Gala Invite
Initiated in 2015, CRBI's premiere fundraiser recognizes businesses, local governments, non-profit organizations and individuals accomplishing extraordinary work to protect natural resources in the upper Coosa River basin. The event features a cocktail party, dinner and Greenie awards ceremony and silent and live auctions. Click here to learn about the event and past Greenie winners.

Harbin Clinic Splash Dash

Splash Dash
Sponsored by Harbin Clinic, this July 4th 5K race celebrates freedom and clean water as it winds through Rome's Ridge Ferry Park. If you finish the 3.1-mile run still dry...well, you just didn't run the right course. Along the course, runners will encounter water balloons, water canons, fire hoses, slip and slides and more! The run is followed by Rome's annual fireworks display and community 4th of July celebration. Click here to learn more!
